Honduras Santa Maria (Nov-Dec 2022)
Regular price $25.00AVAILABLE ONLINE AND IN STORE
Honduras is the largest producer of coffee in Central America and is able to grow excellent coffee due to the fertile soil & high altitude of the country. Over the years, Honduras have slowly proved themselves and produced stunning coffees that reflected the steps that they have taken to improve the quality of their coffee.
This month, we are featuring coffee from Finca Santa Maria in the Santa Barbara region. Grown at an altitude between 1700 to 1850 masl with an average temperature of 21°C, the coffee here have wonderful flavours due to the slower ripening of the coffee cherry.
Furthermore, this lot that we are featuring underwent an anaerobic processing method, where oxygen is removed during the fermentation process, leading to it develop complex and interesting flavours.
In this bright tasting cup of coffee, we found notes of peach, chocolate, and citrus, in a creamy, medium body.
As our #dYScover beans are roasted specially, and separately from the rest of our offerings, we only have limited quantities per month! If you have ever thought or wondered about specialty coffee from Honduras, do make sure you give this a try soon!
There are so many different types of coffee grown in various regions of the world, with each region tasting very distinct from one another.
