Most of the coffee in PNG is produced in the highland regions, either in the Eastern Highlands, or the Western Highlands. The highland regions of the country provides the ideal climate and terrain for coffee to develop beautifully, bringing out complex notes and great sweetness. Grown at an average height of 1700masl, our coffee this month comes from the Goroka Valley, located on the Eastern Highlands.

This batch of coffee is processed via Carbonic Maceration, a method where the coffee is fermented in a carbon dioxide rich environment (Carbon dioxide is pumped into a sealed container, displacing the oxygen inside resulting in an anaerobic environment). This results in the development of complex attributes in the cup, with exciting new flavours and aroma that one would not normally find in coffee.

In the cup, we taste notes of dried cherries & yoghurt, with a lively acidity and creamy body. This is accompanied by subtle notes of chocolate and malt, which lingers after you have finished the cup.

Self pickup orders are collated once weekly on Fridays (place your order by Thursdays), and will be ready for pickup on Saturdays.

I ordered all the 6 choices (of Drip Bag Coffee) to try. Arrived yesterday and tried the Signature Blend #1 this morning. Clear indication of roasted & packing dates on each packet. Fresh and full of aroma, highly recommended. Tks!
