El Salvador first produced coffee commercially in the 1850s, and it quickly became an important part of its economy becoming the fourth-largest coffee producer in the world by 1880. The growth of the coffee industry also resulted in and supported the growth of the country's infrastructure, with investments in paved highways, railroads and ports, resulting in them becoming one of the most progressive Central American nation by the early 20th century.

Our coffee this month comes from the Apaneca-Ilamatepec region, more specifically from the San Carlos Cooperative, which spans 672 Hectare and has 126 Associate members living and working together on the Cacahuatique Mountain.

In this washed lot, we taste notes of roasted nutschocolate, with a smooth creamy body and balanced acidity, with a long sweet aftertaste. 

As our #dYScover beans are roasted specially, and separately from the rest of our offerings, we only have limited quantities per month! If you have ever thought or wondered about specialty coffee from El Salvador, do make sure you give this a try soon!

SELF PICKUP
Self pickup orders are collated once weekly on Fridays (place your order by Thursdays), and will be ready for pickup on Saturdays.

Orders on Fridays will be processed the following week.
